Glitter & coloured salt snowflakes

Great winter activity suitable for a wide range of ages.

Wat you need:

  • A printer to print some snowflake patterns;
  • PVA glue;
  • Fine table salt;
  • Glitter;
  • Small paint brush an ice tray to mix the paint;
  • Liquid watercolours or normal paints disolved in a bit of water.

Follow the contour of the snowflake with a generous amount of glue (squeeze the bottle if it has a small tube lid or use an applicator/brush). When done, sprinkle plenty of salt. Shake the excess and dip the brush in some liquid colour. Gently touch the salt on the snowflake and the colour will be absorbed by it. For glitter, just sprinkle some on the glue.

Use a thick cardboard. I used normal paper and it got a bit wet.

Let in dry and don’t handle it too much if you do not want salt on your floors.
