Painted cardboard house

What you need:

  • A big cardboard box and a small one;
  • A sheet to protect the floor (I have an old bed sheet which I keep for craft projects);
  • Acrylic paints and brushes;
  • Cello tape, staples or glue;
  • Scissors.

Lift the side flops of the big box and glue them together to make a roof for the house. Add more cardboard from the second box. Cut windows and doors for the house. Dress the child in paint friendly cloths.

Place the house on the sheet and give the child paint and brushes to paint it.  Let it dry and play with it with dolls or other figurines. This can be done outdoor or indoor. The activity kept my girl busy for a long time as she wanted to finish it in one go.  Once you’re done playing with it please recycle.
